  2013: PFRL.net – The game is back!
I had to close the game for the last 7 days. Unfortunately we missed one race. But now we are back again!

I had to rename the game. That's why I also had to change the domain to www.PFRL.net. I removed all the Formula 1 trademarks from the web site. Therefore most of the team components have quite strange names. I also adapted some of the Fantasy league names for this reason. I haven't altered the Fantasy team and login names so far. Most of the PFRL car liveries have lost their colours.

We will try to do our best, to get the permission from the rights holders to use the original team and driver names at least for the next season.

The Cup competition continues without any changes. The Cup final is now scheduled for the last race.

Because we missed a race, the Prime and the Option tyre must be used only at least 4 instead of 5 times this season.

Thank you very much for your great support and I am looking forward to a hopefully exciting remaining Fantasy racing season. And now let's play the game together!

Kind regards
Maverick

@JordanGP:
But you are asking the wrong person. I recommend to consult a lawyer.

What I have done to save this season is visible to everybody. Is it safe? I don't know.

Regarding to next season:
If you believe that it would be possible to sort out things in such a short time, you should reconsider to start your own online game.

Yeah, kind of forgot about my team until I received the mail from you announcing the game was closing. Had just been hoping to get some advice from you, one Formula 1 fan to another.

@JordanGP:
I have noticed, that you've been quite inactive in our game since your registration.

I wish you all the best for your own prediction game.

Well done Maverick on getting the site back up and running!

Hoping you might be able to help me out. I am in the processes of setting up a Formula 1 predictions website. After seeing what happened to you I want to do whatever I can to protect myself and the site. Did FOM say you could continue the site as long as you were not using the team and driver names?

Also did they give an indication as to whether you'd be able to get the necessary licence?

If you have any other information it'd be greatly appreciated! Its a disgrace what Bernie and FOM are doing to fans who are only helping the sport with these websites.

Maverik Rocks!
Thanks for continuing with the game, it certainly gives an added interest in qualifying and the races themselves, plus I had a very good week!

@LoudPedal

The code of the site is the same like the one before I changed the domain name.

I don't use anything special, just a little bit of javascript. It should be completely safe.

Maybe you can ask Bitdefender for support.

BTW, I never did think that it was a phishing attempt on your part. Just an opportunistic stab by some random idiot during the domain name change.

His initial problem:

For some reason my antivirus is blocking the site with its new address.

Then:

I dunno what it is, but something has changed, even with the link you just posted, here is what comes up on my screen...

"BitDefender 2011

This web page has been blocked by BitDefender Antivirus Real-time Protection!

The web page blocked by BitDefender included objects that were either infected or likely to be infected with a virus. Your system has NOT been infected."

@LoudPedal:

Can you send the information to me, why his anti-virus is blocking the access to the web site?

This should not happen. I am really curious about the message.

This was not a phishing attempt. For detailed information you can contact me vial e-mail.

Thanks so much for your hard work. It's really good to see the game is on again.

Just one quick question. A fellow fantasy racer that I know from another forum said he received a second email after the notification that PFRL was up and running again. It contained a 'private message' about some surprise and his anti-virus is blocking access to the site. I'm not jealous or feeling left out, but am suspiscious that this is a phishing attempt. Did any such emails get sent to certain users? I'm fairly technically inclined and would like to help put him at ease.

Thanks
