I predicted the United States would reject formula 1 if their all time racing icon was rejected. He wasn't rejected he was kicked below the belt with insult after insult in the official ruling. F1 seemed to want to go out of its way to humiliate the Andretti family after inviting them to apply and they humiliated all American race fans in the process.
Hostility is building. Mario and Michael are broadcasting all over America that F1 is making up lies and specifically are lying about an alleged unanswered invitation to a meeting. Peter Windsor has reacted in disgust and disbelief as he announced to the shock of Europe that he believes Mario is the biggest name in racing and the greatest race car driver of all time. American fans are furious; read their statements; lifetime f1 fans now denouncing the sport. Think about it: F1 accepted a NASCAR family over the Andretti Indy Car family. NASCAR fans will never ever support F1; that was never a possiblilty. NASCAR fans love getting drunk and dizzy watching cars drive in a circle turning left for hours and will never look for a bigger "thrill" than that. So the Andrettis are shunning the bogus 2028 invite and have indicated they will now join in and make NASCAR bigger and better than F1 (rumor) I predict we will see NASCAR racing at the same time as F1 in every single American location where F1 is, starting in 2026. It seems to me the "war" is on. Will we see NASCAR turn to road racing? Imagine Mario at all the NASCAR races telling Americans over and over that F1 has pissed on the United States. But don't worry the wise elites at F1 have figured out all they need is one hack American driver to take twentieth week after week.
Ego got the best of formula 1. They took a Haas organization with hillbilly NASCAR experience because they knew they could beat them imo. The Andretti headquarters building in Indianapolis (which they own) is worth nearly as much as the entire Haas racing team. F1 has satisfied itself that it gave Mario what he had coming after he waltzed thru one F1 season and won it all. Peter Windsor says Mario's presence was what saved F1 financially at that time.

Mario is suddenly extremely positive about F1 again. Something is up behind the scenes imo. Perhaps they will buy a team after all????
Anyway there is no conflict with the Andretti family; I was wrong.

American media outright hostile regarding Vegas Grand Prix

What did I tell you. Look at tonight's headlines by googling formula 1 Vegas Grand Prix.
I have absolutely no doubt: Mario Andretti holds the American media (all of it) in the palms of his hands; duh
and now the state of Nevada appears extremely close to cancelling the race. Americans only know one thing about formula 1 and that is that they look down their noses on America.
They are wrong but to an American what happened would be like Japan telling Babe Ruth he isn't good enough to play in Japan.
