2013: PFRL Press release: New game

Because sometimes people say that the PFRL game is complicated and too time consuming, next year will start a spin-off with an amazing new game play.

For the Fantasy F1 players who don't want to spend too much time and don't want to analyse the Formula 1 every time again, there will be the new game PFRL Investor.

In PFRL Investor you don't act as a team owner, but invest the money in Fantasy F1 teams. You don't play Fantasy F1 for yourself, but let others do the work.

The rules are simple and explained fast:
You receive a 80 Mio. start capital at the beginning of the season. You are able to acquire minimally 10% and at most 30% of a Fantasy Formula 1 team from the PFRL main game. The shares are awarded only once.

You get Fantasy F1 points according to the share percentage. Of course you earn or loose money corresponding to the performance of the Fantasy F1 teams. Therefore there will be available a total points and a capital ranking. Prior to each race you can change up to 3 investments.

The statistics data of the Fantasy F1 teams and of their team owners will be displayed in a proper way that PFRL Investor players are supplied with all of the required information to make their investments.

It's not certain yet, if an investor who holds 30 % shares of a team, will be able to influence the team nominations.

Definitely worth avoiding investors being able to impact team nominations. Otherwise, what's to stop a rival investing in 30% of your team, then intentionally making bad changes to bring you down? It's a slightly cynical view, but worth noting.

Oh, please just check the press release date!
