My man George Russell exhibited greatness and reminded us all of what sports is intended to be about. Without hesitation he risked his life, gave up the race and did all he could to save his friend and fellow racer.
It isn't all about winning. No fan that was there or observing on television will ever forget one of the greatest moments in racing.

I couldn't agree more with Alan's post. It may have cost me a great deal in the game but there could be no finer action than a sportsman resigning his chances in order to save the life of another. I am reminded of David Purley's similar sacrifice in a sadly vain effort to save Roger Williamson at Zaandfort in 1973. Thank God the cars are much safer today and everyone is alright.
