First Time Creating League - How to invite with e-mail?

This is my first attempt at creating my own League. I thought I could just send an invite via e-mail? Any help on how to do this would be appreciated.

Hello
After Login, you can use the "Invite my friends" feature. You find it in your menu (under your name) or use the "Invite my friends" tab right beside the "team overview" tab.
