Ferrari (Factory Engine) qualifying points not added to Race 17 total
Hi Maverick,

Not sure how else to contact you.
The 3 qualifying points for my engine component - Ferrari (Factory Engine) have not been carried over to my Total Points column for Race 17 Mexico.

Can you please fix this up? Or am I missing something?

Thanks.
Pointy end of the season so I'm desperate for every point ;0)

@Maverick Not complaining at all and I'm not blaming you either. The rules were applied as I expected them to be.

@CarlisleFrost:
I know, it hurts to loose like this. To finish FIRST you have to FINISH first said Ron Dennis a long time ago. It's still a wise saying. So please don't blame it on me, blame it on the insane driving Ferrari guys.

I checked the rules twice before I assigned the scores. The rules are quite clear at this point:
Total points: Total points = Qualifying points + Race points - Minus points

You still have a good chance to win the golden pot in the Professional league. I wish you good luck for the last 2 races and I am looking forward to an interesting fight in the HPT-League.

I assumed that as the rules didn't separate qualifying and the race, that the race score could be negative and offset qualifying. Painful way to lose, but that's life.

If the other guy uses options and doesn't take Rossi in the final, it'll be yours to lose!

Oh, Dominik is right, of course... I completely forgot about the gearbox change penalty... just wondered because no Ferrari had to quit the race due to an engine failure. And I also didn't know that points made in the quali can be deducted in the race again... I somehow assumed 0 points is the minimum you can get in the race itself. But guess something like that never happened before or it didn't have enough impact for me to notice.

@CarlisleFrost You sure don't deserve such a painful defeat, but on one hand I am sure you will win this and other titles in the future if you only keep playing, and on the other hand you can be sure I will do my best to avenge you in the final round.

Thank you both.

Guessed I was missing something.
Appreciate you taking time to point that out to me.
Cheers.

I guess the question is whether qualifying points are "locked" and protected from reductions, which only count against a race score, or not.

As much as I'd like to argue that qualifying points should not be reduced by penalties (as my Cup team would survive if it did!), the rules don't specify that.

So, I'd assume the 3 points from qualifying get offset by the 3 penalty points, meaning a total of zero after the race.

Raikkonen had to replace his gearbox and engine. The gearbox penalty/engine penalty is 5/10 places in the grid and 3 points deducted on PFRL.
