SITE Crash at 12.15 to 13.00

For 45 minutes before data base closure today I tried to access the site for my changes. But it was impossible. After all the preparation and thought that goes into this game it is immensely disheartening to be prevented from playing it. At this stage of the cup it was crucial, besides the expert league which I was leading but simply couldn't access. As I get zero points there now it is impossible for me to regain my position. At this moment I feel like throwing it all in. Sorry but I imagine that this sort of issue will dishearten lots of other players too.
What is most annoying is that the data base functioned perfectly well by 13.05....isn't there any system by which it could be extended by an hour under these circumstances?. The problem seemed to be too many people accessing the site at the same time. But this has not happened all season and so I suspect a technical issue must be at play here.

@Alan Remember would be too much said but now that you mentioned it, it rings a bell in the back of my mind... I remember more vividly when the two Red Bulls crashed into each other, though.
I didn't even see your initial reaction, plus I just gave my opinion, and you are of course entitled to have one of your own. No need to agree with me, though I'm glad if you do.

Hey Gakra remember when we both went with both Haas drivers and a damned tire fell off of both of their cars???? That was the all time worst lol

Not counting the race would come in handy for me, as I had Hamilton in my top team, Mercedes motor in six, chassis in three and team chef in two teams. But to me there is no reason not to count it. True, there couldn't be a worse time for the site to crash than in the last hour before pit lane closes, and I'm sorry for everybody who didn't manage to change their teams due to this. But if you think about it, it's pretty much the same as if someone waits til the end of quali to profit of a faster track (or in this case the latest informations), and then cannot get a fast lap due to a red or yellow flag or rain. As much as it ****s for victims, result will count, anyway.

i deleted my suggestion that the last race not be counted in the official scoring due to the appearance of bias on my part due to my poor scores in the race. I leave the issue to others. Love this game regardless and as the old adage goes sh**t happens lol

Yeah, last 20 mins I couldnt log in. I was lucky to able to change my teams, but I couldnt change my constructors selection. An extension would be fair for those badly affected.

So it wasn't just me then. I did changes earlier than usual for most teams and JUST got my Cup team done at the end (it was loading but so, so SLOW). The timing couldn't have been worse and I imagine a fair few will have been impacted.
It might be worth re-opening and allowing changes up until qualifying starts.
